A Virtual Tour of Delft

Join me (John Rice Live Online) for an Historic City Walk in Delft which will attempt to cover the most interesting views of Delft, for example:

  • New Church (the resting place of Willem of Orange, and the spectacular panorama from the Church Tower over Delft)

  • Marketplace with the beautiful Dutch Renaissance City Hall

  • Meat Hall & medieval (6-days per week still to this present day) Fish Stalls

  • Weighing House & Butter House

  • ‘VOC’ House with a special presentation of the incredible East India Company

  • The fantastic Waterboard House of Delfland

  • Old Church (with its famous leaning spire and many 'Sea-Heroes' buried within it)

  • The Princes Court (where Willem of Orange was assassinated by Balthazar Gerards)

We will also tour many other places like the location of the painter Vermeers' "View of Delft", the medieval East Gate with old Alms Houses just around the corner, but will begin with a quick Tour of 'Royal Delft' (where the unique blue & white china the City is so famous for is still created today) looking at their Museum and Factory.

All in all we will be walking and listening to All the Stories behind the Best Sights of Delft in a 1½ hour (Virtual) Tour of Delft. If you have any special requests please email me and I'll See you Soon!
